HONDINGEN

State: Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis): Schwarzwald-Baar Kreis (until 1973 Donaueschingen)
Incorporated into: 1972 Blumberg

Wappen von Hondingen/Arms (crest) of Hondingen
Official blazon
German In Rot mit blau-silbernem Wolkenbord ein wachsender goldener Abtsstab mit silbernem Sudarium.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1903.

The arms were designed in 1903 and combine the bordure of the arms of the Princes of Fürstenberg, with an abbot's crosier for the St. Gallen Abbey. The village historically belonged to the Fürstenberg estate, but the abbey had several possessions in the area.
