The arms were officially granted on August 9, 1982.

The division and the three pales are derived from the arms of the medieval Lords von Teysingen. The fleur-de-lis is the symbol of St. John Baptist, the patron saint of the Teising church. At the same time it is the symbol of St. Mary, patron saint of the Altötting convent, that had many possessions in the municipality. The silver and blue are also the colours of Bayern.
