The lower half is derived from the arms of the Counts von der Leyen zu Gondorf, who ruled the village for a long time. The upper half shows the acid spring of Leiningen-Lamscheid, which was already mentioned in the 16<sup>th</sup> century for its healthy water. The jugs symbolise the export of the water, which started in the 18<sup>th</sup> century.
