NEUKIRCHEN-BALBINI

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Schwandorf (until 1973 Neunburg vorm Wald)
Additions : 1972 Boden, Egelsried; 1978 Alletsried, Hansenried

Wappen von Neukirchen-Balbini

Official blazon

In Rot auf grünem Boden zwischen grünen Bäumen eine turmlose silberne Kirche mit blauen Dächern und goldenen Kreuzen; darüber schwebend ein Schild mit den bayerischen Rauten.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 19, 1449 by Count Otto I of the Pfalz. The arms show a small church (Kirche), a canting element. The small shield shows the arms of the Wittelsbach family, to which the Counts of the Pfalz belonged. The trees symbolise the Pruckerforst forest around the town (now the Bodenwöhrer Forst). The arms have not changed since.

Wappen von Neukirchen-Balbini

The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925
