Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1990.

The arms are identical to the arms of the city of Stadtroda.

The previous arms were adopted in 1949.

The arms show in the upper part three wheat-ears for agriulture and in the base three pine trees for forests and forestry. The bridge is the Teufelstalbrücke on the A4 highway.
