SCHWARZENFELD
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Schwandorf (until 1973 Nabburg)
Additions : 1972 Frotzersricht (partly), Pretzabruck; 1973 Ebermannsdorf; 1978 Sonnenried
German | Durch einen silbernen Wellenbalken geteilt von Schwarz und Blau; oben eine durchgehende goldene Brücke mit Zollhaus, unten ein silberner Karpfen.
Origin/meaningThe arms were granted on November 28, 1963. The wavy bar shows the Naab river, that runs through the town. The upper half shows the local bridge, which has played a major role in the local development. The small house was the customs office on the bridge. The black field is canting (Schwarzenfeld=black-field). The lower half shows a carp, as carp breeding has been a major activity since the 19th century. The colours are those of the Counts of Leuchtenberg, who ruled the area for a long time. Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ?
