In Rot ein steigender silberner Wolf. Origin/meaningThe wolf is derived from the arms of the State of Passau, to which the village belonged for many centuries until 1803. The wolf already appears in 13th century seals of the town. The colours of the arms were changed in the 19th century, to distinguish the arms from those of Passau, Obernzell, Perlesreut and other towns in the State of Passau.
