Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on May 14, 1980. The arms are near identical to the arms of the Von Preu von Straßkirchen family, which ruled the village from 1602-1703 and which became extinct in 1747. The arms were chosen as the Von Preu family was the family that owned the village for the longest time, as it changed hands very often since the 14th century.
