Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 12, 2012.

The label and the bar are taken from the arms of the Knights von Bansberg, known since 1262. The arms of Johann von Bansberg from 1454 have been preserved in the State Archives. The base refers to the Katzenberg mountain and agriculture.
