Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 25, 1980.

The arms symbolize that the 9 former municipalities were joined to the new municipality of Uetze. The colours are the historical colours of the region.

The previous arms were granted on December 27, 1927.

Wappen von Uetze

The three arrows are taken from the oldest known lords of the Uetzen Estate, the Lords of Uttensen. The right half shows a lion surrounded with hearts and a red quarter, both are derived from the arms of the Lords of Lüneburg, later owners of the estate.
