Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 25, 2009.
The wisent (European bison) is a symbol for the wisent herd on the Damerower Werder nature reserve in the municipality. The apple tree is a canting element, the name is derived from the old Slavonic word for apple. The three apples refer to the three villages in the municipality, Jabel, Damerow and Loppin. The base refers to the Jabelschen See lake.
