Origin/meaning
The fence refers to the Heinschenwall, an early medieval small fortress on the Geeste river. The oak refers to the many oak forests in the area and at the same time refers to the two former municipalities of Heinschenwalde and Hipstedt. The wavy bar refers to the Geeste.
