Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 27, 2001.
The arms show a wooden gate, which symbolises the medieval castle which was located near the village. The crosier symbolises the Bishops of Schleswig, who used the castle as a refuge in difficult times. At the same time the gate symbolises the two villages of Arenholz and Lürschau that are now combined to a single municipality. This is further symbolised by the cross-bar. The blue colours symbolises the Lake Arenholz and the gold the sand of the Lürschauer Heide.
