Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1958 and show in the chief symbols for the former Royal estate of Königsmauer (Royal wall), a wall with a crown.
The lion is the lion of the Counts of Sayn. The boar heads represent the former estate of Freusburg in the municipality, which later became a part of the County of Sayn. The whole area finally belonged to Sayn.
Literature : Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
