Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 8, 1993.
The arms show the local castle, the Weiherburg, destroyed in the 17th century. The wheat-ears refer to the long agricultural character of the area. The rings are taken from the arms of the last Lords of the village until 1798, the brothers Friedrich Josef and Heinrich von Landenberg.
The flaming sword on the castle is taken from the seal of the village court until the late 18th century and is the symbol of St. Michael, the local patron saint from 1220-1552..
