Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on ?
The arms show a typical farmhouse for the area, which also symbolises the agricultural character of the municipality. The four urns refer to the four villages in the municipality, as well as to the long history of the settlements as can be deducted from the many archaeological finds.
The four wavy bars refer to the Wiedau, Rodau, Hasselbach and Visselbach rivers.
