Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 13, 2006.
The lion with helmet and crest is taken from the arms of the Lords von Bültzingslöwen, who originate from the village. As the family still exists, only the upper half of the lion was taken as municipal arms. To distinguish the arms further, the lion holds a deer antler. These refer the archaeological findings in the village, which make the area one of the longest inhabited places in the whole country.
