Origin/meaning
The lower half symbolises the court of Gallscheid to which the municipality historically belonged. The chapel symbolises the local chapel, built in 1719. The upper left half shows a brick wall, symbol for the Roman villas that were found in the municipality, and a fountain. The fountain was historically of great importance for the local water supply. The small pale symbolises the Roman main road that run through the area.
