Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on November 27, 1950.
The colours are taken from the arms of the Lords of Hanau-Lichtenberg, to which the village historically belonged. The boot symbolizes the local shoe-making tradition. The wavy bar symbolizes the -Bach part of the name (Bach means brook, stream).
