Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on March 22, 1981.
The arms are a combination of elements from the arms of the former municipalities; the main colour and the circle are derived from the old arms of Kirkel-Neuhäusel, the sword is taken from the old arms of Altstadt. The linden leaves are a new element and represent Limbach (which originally meant Linden-stream). The number three symbolises the three former municipalities.
