State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Greiz

Wappen von Lederhose/Arms (crest) of Lederhose
Official blazon
German

In Gold eine grüne Hose mit Trägern und Brustlatz (Lederhose).

English No blazon/translation known. Please click here to send your (heraldic !) blazon or translation

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 22, 2004.

The Lederhose ('leather breeches') is a typical German/Central European type of trousers, and thus a clear canting symbol. The trousers already appeared in the seal from 1846.

Literature: Ulle, 2011
