Origin/meaning

The arms of Amt Freudenberg were granted on August 17, 1937.

The arms show in the base the castle, taken from the arms of the city of Freudenberg. The lion in the upper part of the new arms is the lion of Nassau, as the area belonged to the County Nassau-Siegen. The lion of Nassau is also part of all the Ämter is the (former) district Siegen.
