German | In gespaltenem Schild vorne in Silber ein durchgehendes halbes rotes Kreuz am Spalt, hinten von Silber und Blau siebenmal gespalten. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 12, 1980.
The red cross is the arms of the State of Konstanz, as until 1803 Hohentengen and Lienheim belonged to Konstanz.
The blue pales are taken from the arms of the Princes of Schwarzenberg, as Bergöschingen and Stetten historically belonged to the Schwarzenberg principality.
Literature: John and Heine, 1989
