BAD GRÖNENBACH (until 1997 Grönenbach)

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Unterallgäu (until 1972 Memmingen)
Additions : 1972 Zell

Wappen von Bad Grönenbach/Arms (crest) of Bad Grönenbach
Official blazon
German In Grün ein silberner Schrägwellenbalken.
English Vert, a bend wavy Argent.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted January 26, 1838 and are canting (Grün=green, Bach=brook).

The arms have thus never changed, although in the last century there have been attempts to add other symbols in the green fields, such as a castle or parts of the arms of the Pappenheim family.
