Unter goldenem Schildhaupt, darin ein schwarzer, rotfüßiger Adler, von Schwarz und Silber schräglinks wellengeteilt, oben ein nach links aufwärts schreitender, rotbezungter goldener Löwe, unten ein durchgehendes rotes Balkenkreuz.

Origin/meaning

The arms reflect the historical status of the area. Initially the area was divided by the Counts of the Pfalz (lion) and the State of Trier (cross). The Trier part later became under direct rule of the Emperors (eagle). The division line symbolises the Simmerbach river.
