BALDERSCHWANG

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Oberallgäu

Wappen von Balderschwang/Arms (crest) of Balderschwang
Official blazon
German In Silber über grünem Dreiberg eine dreilatzige rote Fahne mit goldenen Fransen und drei goldenen Ringen, der eine goldene heraldische Lilie aufgelegt ist.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 21, 1985.

The red gonfanon is derived from the arms of the Counts of Montfort-Rothenfels, who played a major role in the local history. The fleur-de-lis is the symbol of St. Anthony of Padua, patron saint of the village. The mountain in the base symbolises the mountains in the area.
