Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on January 7, 1972.
The arms are identical to the arms of the former Amt Drolshagen and combine elements from the arms of Drolshagen city and Drolshagen-Land.
The previous arms were granted on January 28, 1911.
The anchor and arrow are the symbols of St. Clement, patron saint of the city. The church seals showed the saint with the cross and arrow, the seals of the city showed only the symbols. The black and silver are the colours of the State of Köln, to which the city historically belonged.
