Origin/meaning
The wavy bar refers to the Wohra river, after which the municipality is named. The three stars are taken from the arms of the former County Ziegenhain, to which the area belonged. They also refer to the villages of Halsdorf, Langendorf and Wohra. \
The Huguenot cross in the base refers to Hertighausen, which was founded bu Huguenots.
