Origin/meaning
The County Störnstein was a small county located in the present-day German state of Bayern in the Oberpfalz region. It existed as an independent territory from the 12th century until 1641 as Lordship and from 1641-1807 as a Principality-County, when it was mediatised to the Kingdom of Bavaria. Capital was the city of Störnstein.
The arms show three canting stars.
