Selected collector's items from Germany:

GETTORF

State : Schleswig-Holstein
District (Kreis) : Rendsburg-Eckernförde
Amt : Amt Dänischer Wohld

Gettorf.jpg

Official blazon

In Blau ein gewellter goldener Berg, davor ein roter spätgotischer Kirchturm mit achtseitigem silbernen Helm. Beiderseits desselben je ein schwebender, bewurzelter silberner Eichbaum.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 15, 1984.

The church is the local church; the first church in Gettorf was mentioned already in 1318. Gettorf is also the main village in the Dänisher Wold forest, which is symbolised by the two small oak trees. The background shows the peninsula on which the forest is situated (gold) on the Baltic Sea border (blue).
