DEMKER

State : Sachsen-Anhalt
District (Kreis) : Stendal
Incorporated into : 2010 Tangerhütte

Wappen von Demker

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 3, 2008.

The two roses in the arms are taken from the arms of the Lords of Arnstedt, who had their estate in the village for over 500 years and thus played a major role in the local history.

The wheat-ears refer to the agriculturcal character of the village. The blue base refers to the Tanger river in the municipality. Fishing in the Tanger was probably the reason for the foundation of the village.
