State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Tirschenreuth
Additions : 1972 Beidl, Liebenstein, Schönkirch, Wildenau; 1978 Hohenthan (partly), Schönficht
Official blazon
Geviert von Silber und Schwarz; in 1 und 4 je eine heraldische Lilie in verwechselten Farben.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 27, 1951
The arms are based on the quartered shield of the Lords of Gleissenthal, who acquired the village in 1357. The fleur-de-lis are derived from their predecessors, the Counts of Sulzbach.
