ZERNITZ
State : Sachsen-Anhalt
District (Kreis) : Anhalt-Bitterfeld (until 2007 Anhalt-Zerbst)
Verwaltungsgemeinschaft : Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Elbe-Ehle-Nuthe
Incorporated into : 2010 Zerbst
Official blazon
Gespalten von Silber und Rot; vorn ein schwarzes Mühlrad am Spalt, hinten ein goldbewehrter silberner Adler am Spalt.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 1, 1997.
The arms show a water-mill wheel as a symbol for the former water-mill in the village. The eagle is taken as a symbol for the Lindau County, to which the village historically belonged.
