HIMMELSTHÜR
State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Hildesheim
Incorporated into : 1974 Hildesheim
Official blazon
(de)
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1931.
The deer antler is derived from the arms of the oldest Lords of Himmelsthür mentioned from 1318-1377. As no colours were known the arms were granted in the colours of the State of Hildesheim, to which the area historically belonged.
