Im silbernen geteilten Schildhaupt, im oberen Schildteil ein roter Zickzackbalken, im unteren silbernen Schildteil ein rotes Kreuz, belegt mit einem schwarzen Hirschgeweih. Umgeben von einem roten Bord

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1971.

The bar is taken from the arms of the Lords of Kerpen, the red cross to the State of Trier, to which the area historically belonged. The deer antler is taken from another important family in the area, the Lords of Mirbach.

The red bordure indicates a Verbandsgemeinde.
