District (Kreis) : Cochem-Zell (until 1969 Cochem)
Additions : 1969 Karden, Treis
Verbandsgemeinde: Verbandsgemeinde Cochem (until 2014 Verbandsgemeinde Treis-Karden)

Wappen geviert.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 14, 1978.
The arms are based on the old arms of Treis (see there), the second and fourth quarter were changed for elements for Karden. The urn symbolises the longtime tradition of pottery in Karden. The fourth quarter shows a hammer with two snakes, taken from the arms of the influential Broy family in Karden.
