(de) In Blau eine goldene Fibel unter einer silbernen steinernen Brücke.
Origin/meaning
The arms show a golden pin from the 6th or 7th century, which was found in the village. The pin thus refers to the long histiry of the village. The bridge is the local Donnerburgbrücke over the Altenau river. The bridge was probably built before 1590 and is the oldest building and a landmark in the village.
The colours are those of the Duchy of Braunschweig, to which the area historically belonged.
