Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 25, 1992.

The chief symbolises the Liessem castle, built in the 14^th century. In 1525 Dieter von Enschringen bought the castle and his family lived on the castle for many centuries. The lower part of the arms shows the arms of the Enschringen family.
