In Gold der schwarze Großbuchstabe W, darüber ein schwarzes Deutschordenskreuz. Origin/meaningThe arms were granted on February 22, 1963, but have been used since 1939. The cross has been used as a village symbol since 1584 and appeared first on the seals in the early 19th century. The canting W was added around the early 1930s to the seal and later that decade the composition was first used as arms. The meaning of the cross is not known.
