Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on May 5, 1997. The arms show a female figure, which is taken from a seal of the village from 1700. According to legend the village was founded by a Lady Emilia, which may be the meaning of the figure on the seal. The figure holds a woad plant (Isatis tinctoria) as woad cultivation and production of the blue colour from the plant was formerly of great importance to the village. The upper left corner refers to the many waters and streams in the municipality. Contact and SupportPartners: Your logo here ?
