Origin/meaningThe green mountain symbolises the prehistoric graves, which are found on the Addenstorfer Heide. The cart symbolises the medieval trade route that ran through the municipality. The three bales symbolise the three villages, Jelmstorf, Bruchtorf and Addenstorf. The base symbolises the Ilmenau river.
