State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Rastatt (until 1972 Bühl)
Additions : 1936 Oberwasser, Zell

Wappen von Unzhurst
Official blazon
German In Silber eine blaue Lilie.

Origin/meaning

The oldest known seal of Unzhurst dates already from 1552 and is probably somewhat older. It already shows the lily (fleur-de-lis) in a shield. All later seals show the lily, sometimes accompanied by smaller lilies around the shield. The colours were not known and officially defined in 1900.

The meaning or origin of the lily is not known.
