Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on
The water mill wheel refers to the former importance of water mills in the area. The four spokes refer to the four municipalities in the Samtgemeinde, the 18 blades refer to the 18 villages and hamlets in the municipality. The two wavy bars refer to the Aller and Fuhse rivers. All villages are situated between these rivers, hence the placement of the bars in chief and in base.
