Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on November 19, 1964 and are identical to the arms of Gross Solschen, granted in 1951.
The main symbol is a so-called Jahresrad, a favourite symbol in the local folklore. It symbolises life and prosperity. The symbol is taken from a local farm from 1859. The oak leaves symbolise the oak tree planted in 1871 as a peace tree in the village of Gross Solschen. The colours are those of the State of Hildesheim.
