Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on February 9, 1993.
The cross (Kreuz) is a canting element and also symbolises the special cross in the local church. The mountain in the base symbolises the many hills in the area. The red wheel is the wheel of Mainz, as the area historically belonged to the State of Mainz.
