Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on February 23, 1954.
The five roses in the arms are derived from the arms of the Lords of Honrode, who ruled Rixen for a long time as vassals of the Counts of Arnsberg. The blue and silver colours are also derived from the arms of the Counts of Arnsberg.
