Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 17, 1980, but the municipality has used the combination of tree trunks and the bar already much longer.

The arms are canting; the trunks are Stümpfen, the wavy bar is a (B)Ach (stream). The colours are derived from the arms of the former Lords of Rechenberg, who had several possessions in the area.
