Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 2006 and continued on January 20, 2010.
The arms were granted to the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Unstruttal and continued by the new entity, as the area of both were identical.
The wavy blue bend refers to the Unstrut river, after which the municipality is named. The grapes refer to the importance of viticulture for the region.
The base shows the Nebra solar disc, a famous archaeological find, which also symbolizes the long inhabitation of the area.
