Origin/meaning
The Principality was formed after the dissolution of the Diocese and State of Halberstadt in 1648. It existed until 1807 when it was incorporated in the Kingdom of Westfalen.
The arms show the divided shield as did the Diocese before. Capital was Halberstadt.
