The arms were officially granted on ?

The church is the local church, a typical landmark for the area. The bend refers to the many streams and rivers in the area, especially the Wümme, Ahauser Bach and Everser Bach. The wolf's head and the heather refer to the Wolfsgrund nature reserve in the municipality.
